Professions (Vocabulary)

The Unit change and the new topic was "Professions" To start with the lesson Teacher Nelson gave students a test. Students did it, but some of them did not finish it. Then, T. Nicol played the game "reach the moon" in which students had to throw a die and according with the numbers they had passed in the hopscotch. Learners really like the game, and they did it well.









Next, Teacher Cristian presented four words of the vocabulary and he made learners repeat them as many times as possible. Then, T. Nelson presented the other four words, and he made students repeat it. Besides, T. Cristian presented the structure What do you want to be? and he gave them the structure to answer, I want to be a __________. Teacher Nelson asked some students the question and they had to answer it according with the phrase given.










After that, Teacher Nelson gave pupils a worksheet in which they had to match the action that professionals made with the profession. They did it great , and T. Cristian checked it with them.Later in the second practice students played a memory game . In one part of the board were the labels and in the other were the pictures. Students were divided in 2 groups, and they tried to guess were the image and the label were. When they found it, they had to say the pronunciation.






Then, Teacher asked students to stand up and , and he divided them in pairs. The pairs had to asked the other What do you want to be? and the other had to point out the flashcard saying I want to be a _________. Every pair performed the mini role-play. Finally, T. Yansi played the game "pass the ball" in which students had to pass it and when teacher stopped counting, the student who had the ball had to answer a question. Teacher showed the students two flashcards with different professions , and she asked the pupil What do you want to be? He had to decided and say I want to be a ________. They really enjoyed the activity. To conclude, I think this was an interesting lesson. Teachers prepared with a lot of details and the activities that they did help them to achieve the purpose of the lesson.

School Objects (Reading)

This was the second time that T. Nicol and Yansi taught. First, T. asked students to stand up and made a line. Teacher divided the class in 2 teams of 4. she told learners that they do not have to cross the line for the basketball game. They really enjoyed the game, but they were confused because teachers did not say who was the winner.Second, T. Yansi presented the vocabulary. She asked students to repeat the pronunciation of the word. Teacher gave real examples of the words of the vocabulary. The vocabulary was: wake up, go to school, supermarket, fun, pack. T. asked one by one to repeat the pronunciation. I really like that teacher recycled the vocabulary during the whole presentation.









Third, Teacher Nicol and Yansi paste some questions and answers on the board. Teacher Nicol read the questions and Anderson helped her. The, Teacher Nicol gave the instructions about the reading ,and she asked students to write their names on the page. Students read the text.After that, learners said that they did not understand the reading, for that reason, Teacher Nicol read it for everybody. At the end of this activity T. Nicol and classmates checked the answers.












Finally, T. Yansi played a memory game. She gave the instructions,but students did not understand it at the first moment. For that reason, she modeled the activity with the help of T. Nicol . They did the activity in a good way. To conclude, T. Yansi performed the wrap up with the game "pass the ball" in which learners had to pass the ball, and the student who had it when teacher stopped counting had to say the name of the flashcard that teacher showed him. I really like the materials, the reading text was so creative and the way in which teachers performed the lesson was relaxed and they looked confident of themselves.

Teacher will paste on the board three questions for the students to read but to answer later. Then, T will provide Ss the reading cartoon story “Bart goes to school”, and T will say to her students that they have to read the story in 3 minutes. After that, T will choose a volunteers or victims to answer the questions, and they will be corrected with all the students. Finally, teacher will read the cartoon story to check the answers.

School Objects (Listening)

This was the second time that teachers taught in this weeks. First, Teachers checked the attendance , and gave students a name tags. Teacher gave the instructions for the game slap the flashcards on the board when teacher mentioned  the name of the school objects, T asked students to made two lines , and the student who touched it had to sit down.











Besides, Teacher Gaby asked pupils to take something of their back pags . T. explained two times the activity. Teacher modeled the activity . Then, T. Roxan Helped her to gave the instructions. Nobody did the activity . They monitored that they took something of their bags. Teacher Gaby presented the structure Do you have a_____? Yes, I do or No, I do not.After that,  Teachers were asking students the structure, Teachers gave a sticker to the students who said the structure.Teacher Roxan paste the sticker in student's name tags. Teacher Gaby asked learners to repeat the pronunciation.




Moreover, T asked pupils to listen the audio. It was too faster, for that reason students did not understood it very well. Teacher Roxan gave learners a page that said Yes in one said and No in the other.After, Teacher Gaby gave students some pictures that they had to paste in Yes side when they listened the school object in the audio, and they had to paste in the No side if they did not listen that object. Students asked teachers to read the story because they could not listen it very well. Then, Teacher Roxan played the hot potato game in which the student who had the ball with a happy face had to made a question to the student with the yellow ball . This was like a mini role play. Students performed the mini role play.










Finally, Teacher Gaby played Simon says. She asked students to gave her the school object that she mentioned. Students liked this activity. To conclude, this was a nice lesson, and teachers were so patient even though students were so hyperactive.

School Objects (Grammar)

Topic : Possessives

 The classroom was ready for the classes, and teachers were preparing the materials. First, Teacher Charlie divided the class in 2 teams. T. Charlie showed pupils a flashcards , and students had to touch the bell to say the name of the school objects. Then, T. asked pupils to show him a pencil, they were motivated, and they showed him quickly.Teacher took school objects from the student's desks, and he made them repeat the name of the word.  He gave real examples such as , Miguel's pencil, Enrique's eraser , and if the students participate, he gave them a sticker. They really wanted to give their objects to teacher to made examples with their school objects.






















Second, T. Charlie asked T. Guillermo to help him, They presented the possessives. To illustrate, Is this your_____? and they had to answer Yes, it is, or Not, it is not. I really appreciate that you used real examples taking their school objects into account. T. Charlie showed the plural way givin the structure, Are these your____? and they had to answer Yes, they are , or Not, they are not. He asked students what were the answer for the two structures , and he paste it on the board. Teacher gave another sticker to students.











Third, T. Guillermo gave learners a worksheet. They monitored the activity. Students had to complete the worksheet  and later , they had to paste a picture of one word  and write their answer. Finally, T. Charlie  gave a page in which students had to draw the teacher and paste the picture on the board. T review the possessives with the picture asking if it was their picture, and students had to answer yes or not. Teacher gave a prize to everybody. To conclude, I really enjoyed the presentation, the real examples that Teacher Charlie provided students . Also, I like the activity to gave students a prize (stickers)
