Professions (Reading)

This was the last lesson with the children. To start with the lesson teacher Juan Jose started with the warm up in which students had to play a dart game. Teacher divided the class in two teams. He gave a ball to each team , and they had to achieve points throwing the ball in the circles on the board. Second, Teacher Andrea performed the pre-reading stage. Teacher presented the words that she had to use in the during stage for the reading text. Teacher presented the words , and she made students to repeat the pronunciation as many times were possibles.






Third, Teacher Paolo performed the during stage. He gave students the text and a worksheet , and also he gave the instructions. Students had to read the text and then complete the worksheet. they did it  using the words presented in the pre- reading stage, and at the end of the activity teacher checked the answers.








Finally, Teacher Gabriela did the post-reading , and she gave students a worksheet. Teacher asked students to do the the first activity.that was a fill in the blanks activity. Teacher checked the answers. Then, it was a match activity , and students did it. Teacher checked the answers. To conclude, Teacher Juan Jose performed the wrap up in which students had to do a quiz of the Unit. They did it. This was the last lesson. We really enjoyed the moment with the children.

A shooting game will be pasted at the board, the students are going to stand up and make two lines, the first kid will throw the ball in order to get the highest point for their group, and the other ones are going to wait for their turn. At the end, the group who gets more points will receive a prize

Pre-reading

During reading

The reader will be given by the teachers, so he will read the instructions, and then, in the worksheet he will read the questions. After that, the students will read the story in order to answer the questions. The last step will be checking the answers with the students.

Wrap up

The desks are going to be moved in lines in order to make the exams of the unit 4, the teacher will provide the pages to each student and he is going to read the instructions and is going to leave students and if they had a question they could ask. At the end, some snacks are going to be given.

Professions (Listening)

This was the first time that students had to lessons in one day. First, Teacher Roxan did the warm up playind a die game in which she separated students in two teams. One was the police's team and the other one was the chef's team. Students had to throw the die and according with the numbers they were moving on the numbers on the board. They really like this game. When students had a number it was a picture of one professions, and they had to say the name of the profession. Second, Teacher Xiomara started with the pre-listening stage. She gave the vocabulary that they had to use in the during. She gave real examples , and she made students repeat the pronunciation as many times were possible.







Third, For the during stage teacher gave students a worksheet and the instructions for the activity. Teacher Adriana played the audio that she and teacher Xiomara recording . This was a nice technique , and also it was the first time in which the during stage was not affected by the audio. Students listened it one time, and they did the workssheet. They listened a second time to check their answers, and teacher checked the answers with them.







Finally, for the post-listening teachers asked students to stand up . She gave students a profession flashcard that they had to match with the place of the work of the differents professions. Also, teacher asked students to say the name of the place and profession. To conclude, for the wrap up , teacher Gabriela. R divided the class in two teams , and she put one desk in front of the different teams. Students had to take a spoon in their lips with a chocolate ball, and put it in the box that was on the desk. Students liked this activity, and also i really like the activities that they did it during the whole lesson.

Professions (Grammar)

Topic: Professions.

This was our last time teaching to children, and the skill was grammar. First, We started the lesson giving the general instructions. Then, Guillermo did the warm up. He played the dart game in which students had to throw the ball on the board and they achieved points if they throw the ball in the circles. After that, the students who lost in the game had to say the name of the professions that teacher showed them.











Second, Teacher Maria Jose started the presentation stage. She gave the grammar structure of the Verb to be. She explained the use of I am, She is or He is. She showed students some examples , and she practiced asking them what was the correct verb to be in the sentences that she gave them, After, Teacher Maria Jose gave learners a worksheet in which they had to choose the correct verb to be for the sentences in the worksheet. Then, I started the second practice giving learners three color sticks. The color green was Hei, the color red was She is; and the color yellow was I am. They had to hold the sticks according with the pictures that I showed them.







Third, for the production stage students worked in pairs preparing a short conversartion. I gave students a piece of paper with a number. It was a train on the board with different railcars with numbers in three of them were a happy face. The students who had the number that the railcars had a happy face had to performed the mini role play. Finally, Students performed the role play, and they did it great. Also, Charlie conclude with the wrap up in which students had to pass t ballonns to each other. The student who had the balloon , when teacher said a color had to answer a question. To conclude, It was a really nice lesson, I really enjoyed that we improved the lesson than the first one that we did it before,

“Throw the ball”
Teacher will divide the class in two teams. Teacher will give each team a ball. Students will make a line, and they are going to throw the ball in the circles. If they throw it in the circles, they achieve points, but if they throw it out of the circles, they have to say the name of one profession that teacher will asked him or her.

“Verb be”

Production
“Mini role play”
Teacher will make pairs. Students have to prepare a mini role play asking the other who are you? And they have to answer I am______, and I am a ______ and say the name of the profession. Then, Teacher will give each pair a paper with a number; on the board will be a train with different railcars with numbers. Some of the railcars with the respective number will have a paper with a happy face. The pair who have the number in which there is a happy face    have to perform the mini role play using the mask.

Wrap up
“Hot Balloons”
Teacher will pass two balloons; students have to pass them to each other’s. When teacher say the color of one balloons , the student who has it, have to make one sentence using the verb be with the profession that teacher  ask him/her.
