This was the second lesson, and the topic was grammar "The present passive".
Yansi started the lesson with the warm up that was an acrostic game referent of teaching words. First, She divided the class in two teams;then, she gave each group a marker. She write a word in a vertical way ,and the students had to think a word that starts with the letter that was writer.
After this activity, Teacher Cristian presented the present passive and the structure, and he gave us some examples of the grammar structure like this one
The cook fries empanadas= The empanadas are fried by the cook; this examples help us to understand better the structure and how to form the present passive. Then, Teacher Nelson gave us some exercises about the topic, he monitored us and asked us to compare the answers in pairs. Teacher Nelson asked to check the exercises. After, Teacher Andrea made trios and gave us some pictures that we used to made sentences using the present passive, and she asked different students to share their answer with the others.
At the end, teacher Yansi played a game pass the ball. If a student had the ball when the teacher stopped counting he asked the student to share any of the sentences that he formed with the pictures in the production stage. This lesson was significant because the activities developed in the stages help me to refresh the vocabulary learned.
